Cubs Win!

OK, you normally don't hear that in December, but the Cubs did get Fukudome from Japan. Let's hope he lives up to expectations. I say bat him leadoff and put Soriano second. Lou Piniella seems happy with the move, saying the Japanese players he's managed in the past are very disciplined. Just as a tribute to Harry, Fukudome spelled backwards is Emodukuf!

Two unpleasant stories

Yes, those Christmas lights look nice, but they could be the latest product containing unsafe amounts of lead. I guess just looking at them won't hurt.
