State Fair

It's that time of year again. You can tell by the heat, by the one way streets around the fairgrounds, by the full hotels and by the smell of fried foods wafting through the air. The State Fair is back and there are more artery clogging choices than ever. You can choose fried cheese curds, dill pickles, green tomatoes, twinkies, oreos, cheesecake...even fried Coca Cola. The Coke's in the batter, you see. What started the fried fair food fascination? Maybe the corn dog? Whatever the case, I will attempt to avoid much of it, although some Cullers fries sound good right about now.
