Gotta root for somebody

Well, I guess I'll pull for the Cleveland Indians this year. Them or the Rockies. The poor showing of the Cubs still fresh in my mind, I can't support Arizona. Boston got their championship a few years back and Colorado, well I like them too. Especially since they prove you don't have to spend a lot to field a competitive team. But the Indians remind me of the Cubs somewhat. They haven't won a World Series in 50 years (OK, for the Cubs it's been 99.) Like the Cubs, they tease their fans now and then. Notably, in 1997, the team was two outs away from a World Series win, but blew it and the Florida Marlins took the title. Sound familiar? At least they went to the series though. In fact, from 1995 to 1999 the Indians made the post season every year but failed to win the big game.
By the way, for those who thought Chief Illiniwik was a stereotype, get a load of Chief Wahoo. Yes, that's what they call him. I am surprised that this mascot is still around.

So,you had to use the stereotypical, gigantic, goofy Indian head picture in your blog article? Just when are you and the other ultra-conservative bloggers going to leave the American Indians alone? Wait, I know. . .maybe when they get you a job at one of their casinos!!
