Super Bowl
Well I watched the big game, even though I'm not into either team. I think that sums it up for most of us. You watch because it's an event. The spectacle is what you're really watching and in my opinion this one didn't disappoint. The Stones proved they can still rock, kind of. I wish they had done some kind of medley though, instead of just 3 songs. And thanks to Vicki for sending me Mick's quote "I'd rather be dead than singing Satisfaction when I'm 45." He did that song last night...at 62!The commercials weren't all great, but I thought there were some standouts. You can watch most of them
here. They're missing the Leonard Nimoy Aleve ad, which I liked. Make sure you check out the Budweiser Clydesdale dream, if you haven't seen it and the Fed Ex commercial too. Oh, and I was fortunate enough to be at a friend's house watching in hi-def. The dinosaurs in that commercial looked great in HD! So did the game, of course. Nice to see Bettis get a Super Bowl ring and play in his home city before retiring. Maybe the Bears will be in it next year and I'll be a little more excited about the whole thing.

I watched the game along with two other friends at one of the friend's apartment. One kept passing bad gas, while the other kept spraying some obnoxious lemon-scented aerosol in the air. This back and forth went on, every ten minutes. By the end of the first half, I was so sickened by the combination odor that I passed out. I awakened, only to pass out once again. For they had propped up their smelly bare feet on my back, using me as a foot rest!
I have to admit, while I sympathize with your plight, reading about it made me laugh harder than any of the commercials!
