Packing tape

It may not have as many uses as duct tape, but clear packing tape comes pretty close. I always have a roll on hand even though I rarely actually use it on packages! The latest use I have found is to remove pet hair from your clothes. Simply tear off some tape and wrap it around your fingers. Now press to the fabric and pull away...voila! It takes the pet hair with it. Of course, you're lucky if you actually can get it to tear off properly, especially if you're using an off-brand. Chances are it will tear off in pieces, you'll keep having to start over and just when you have it where you want it, you'll set the roll down and it will get stuck to itself again. Good luck, you're now starting from scratch!
Other uses for clear packing tape...cheap repair for your torn vinyl seat, hanging WNNS banners at remotes and covering the mouths of talkative people (just kiddin')

Holidays

Well, now when I wish someone "Happy Holidays," I feel I have to explain myself. Everyone's using the phrase at department stores, restaurants and bars to be politically correct, supposedly. There's a big deal about how saying "Merry Christmas" may offend someone who's not Christian. I say "Happy Holidays" for a different reason. It just seems early to say "Merry Christmas." It's still a week away. "Happy Holidays" covers it all...Christmas, New Year...I hope the whole season is happy for you and yours. And if you celebrate any other holiday, I hope it's happy for you as well. Peace on earth, that would be nice too, no matter what your religious views. Happy Holidays!

Singing Sheep!

Every few years it seems we get a new novelty Christmas song or cd. There's singing dogs, cats, chipmunks...you name it. And this year, singing sheep! It's
here. I don't think this has the staying power of some of the others, but who knows? They're selling ringtones too, so you may be hearing it on someone's cell phone soon. Maybe after a few eggnogs this sounds better, I'll let you know!
