I don't usually ignore signs

This weekend I went hiking at Starved Rock State Park. It's a great time of year for this, with all the fall color. Of course, the temperature has dropped, but when you're walking up and down hills, you get warmed up. There's miles of trails with bluffs, interesting rock formations and various wildlife. All very beautiful and pristine. I guess to keep it that way, they don't have bathrooms or even outhouses along the way. Once you're on the trail, you hold it! Last year, we hiked way out of the way to find an outhouse. Then me with my bright ideas, decides to try a different way back. That's when we encountered this sign (and kept right on going.) The trail wasn't all that bad though, if you took your time. I think the warning may apply more to wet weather. It is disconcerting however, to be walking where hikers have fallen! This year staying on the regular trails turned out to be a better idea!
