Horrors

It's been sooo hot, but relief is coming. 85 for Friday sounds really nice. This weekend Little Shop of Horrors is at New Salem's Theatre in the Park. Now, I've never been to a show there but New Salem is beautiful and a nice place to camp. I'll be busy this weekend, but would love to see a show there before the season's over. We've got our truckload sale at the Warehouse Friday and Saturday too. Come on out and see what bargains you can find!
I've got vacation coming up and it's going to be great to have some time off. I think I've got what we called "senioritis" in high school. You know, your mind is already on vacation!

I've seen several performances in New Salem - probably too many - and it is a great place to watch a show. Kinda surprises me, though, that the New Salem Lincoln League would host "Little Shop of Horrors." Not necessarily because it's a more "adult" type of theme. But because they usually sponsor quasi-historic and classical productions. Even those become bogged down in offensive, small-town, and sacreligious dialogue most of the time. But surprised they'd put on "Little Shop or Horrors." Nice decorum for the village where Lincoln found himself. The Lincoln League needs its public funding cut.

Why the elitist comments,
from the one called Ragamuffin?
Is he being truthful,
Or is he just a-bluffin'?
The Lincoln League rocks,
Entertainment for every taste,
So why print comments so critical,
For they are just a waste;
If Lincoln were alive,
He'd give them such high marks,
He might high-five every member,
Doing cartwheels in the parks!
